COVID-19 GUIDELINES

At a.wall beauty, the safety of our clients and staff is our top priority. Upon opening after the Covid-19 shutdown,  a.wall beauty will be following all guidelines for New Jersey’s personal care businesses as set forth by the CDC, The NJ State Board of Cosmetology and the NJ Governor’s Office.

Pre-screening: When we are ready to start taking appointments, staff and clients will be screened no more than 24 hours before a scheduled appointment and immediately prior to or upon arrival at the place of business. Any individual who reports having any symptom consistent with COVID-19 in the last 72 hours, or having had exposure to an individual suspected of having had or confirmed to have had COVID-19 in the last 14 days, cannot be permitted to enter, whether for work or a scheduled service.

Day of appointment: On the day of your appointment, please come alone.Only staff and clients receiving services by appointment should be inside the establishment. Please call us from your car and we will let you know when it is time to meet outside our front door before welcoming you into our studio.  Everyone entering the premises is required to  wear a face mask. Please bring your own face mask. If you do not have one, we will provide you with a disposable face mask.  We will take your temperature and use our pulse oximeter to check your oxygen level and pulse rate before coming into the studio.  Clients with a temperature of 100.4 and above cannot be seen for any services. We will then ask you to fill out an electronic intake and health history form before starting our service.

Covid-19 training and certification: At a.wall beauty, we are committed to keeping our clients and ourselves safe and healthy. We are  Barbicide Covid-19 certified and continue to keep up with the latest Covid-19 training and guidelines.

PPE: CDC recommended Personal Protection Equipment will be worn in adherence  to state regulations and guidelines. Face masks, gloves and face shields will be provided to all employees. Proper disinfecting and disposing of PPE training will be provided.

Hand-washing: A handwashing station and hand sanitizer will be provided in the studio for workers and clients. We ask that workers and clients wash and/or sanitize hands frequently, including before and after client services.

Cleaning and sanitizing: There will be a 30 minute break in between clients to allow for cleaning and disinfecting. The entire area, door handles, chair, bed, bedding, towels, headbands, makeup, makeup brushes, tools and surfaces will be disinfected with EPA-registered products after every appointment. Daily deep cleanings will occur.

HVAC and air purifiers: According to the EPA, “Portable air cleaners, also known as air purifiers or air sanitizers, are designed to filter the air in a single room or area. Central furnace or HVAC filters are designed to filter air throughout a home. Portable air cleaners and HVAC filters can reduce indoor air pollutants, including viruses, that are airborne. By themselves, portable air cleaners and HVAC filters are not enough to protect people from the virus that causes COVID-19. When used along with other best practices recommended by CDC and others, filtration can be part of a plan to protect people indoors.” We will have a designated HEPA air purifier installed in our studio as well as a newly cleaned HVAC system with new filters.
